It also includes 45 scalable TrueType fonts and one bitmapped Line Printer Font. PostScript language and fonts

The HP LaserJet 6MP series printer also includes the Adobe PostScript Level 2 printer language with 35 built-in PostScript language fonts.

Automatic language switching

When optional printer languages (such as PostScript) are installed, the printer automatically determines and switches to the appropriate language for the print job.

Enhanced memory and memory expansion

The HP LaserJet 6P, 6Pse, and 6Pxi series printers come with 2 MB of memory and can be expanded to 50 MB with the three available memory (SIMM) slots. Most documents can be printed using the standard amount of printer memory with the aid of Memory Enhancement technology (Met). Met automatically compresses data, virtually doubling the printer’s memory and allowing more complex printing with available memory.

Energy savings
The printer automatically conserves electricity by substantially reducing power consumption when it is not printing.
As an Energy Star partner, HP has determined that this product meets Energy Star guidelines for energy efficiency.
Economical printing
Allows printing on both sides of a page and multiple pages on a sheet in order to reduce the amount of paper used
Provides EconoMode (draft quality) print setting to extend the life of the print cartridge
