PS/2 (Mini-DIN)
The PS/2 connector is used for connecting some keyboards (purple) and mice (green) to a PC compatible computer system.
Designed and introduced by IBM in 1987 on their PS/2 line of PC's.
PS/2 replaced the serial connector for mice and the 5-pin DIN connector for keyboards.
PS/2 became the standard of use when the ATX standard was introduced.
Today PS/2 has been replaced by USB.
